Job Title: Offshore Heat Exchanger Superintendent

Job Descriptions

  • SPIE Nigeria Limited is currently looking for a Heat Exchanger Superintendant for a Full Field Shutdown project located in Nigeria.
  • As a Shutdown Superintendent for the position of Heat Exchanger Superintendant - Offshore -, you responsibilities will include:
    • Insulating an exchanger.
    • Extracting a tubular exchanger bundle. (the bundle is 10 tons)
    • HP cleaning of an exchanger.
    • Follow up of the work of retubing the Bundles.
    • Follow up of the tube test work.
    • Reinstallation of the beams in the grille.
    • Hydro-testing of specific exchanger joints.

Your task will also include:

  • Ensures that the PVV design and related PVV Engineering Deliverables are compliant with General Specifications, applicable platforms / project specifications, applicable international / local Codes & Standards and applicable local regulations.
  • Ensures HSEQ compliance by design.
  • Ensures that the PVV Engineering Package is fully in accordance with the Scope of Work, free of clashes, consistent and compliant with the quality requirements.
  • Ensures that the designed PVV modification involves no HSE risk during site execution, minimum offshore site works and minimum production loss.
  • Ensures that design done by VENDOR is in accordance with Technical Requisition.
  • Ensures that work is delivered in time in accordance with the planning.
  • Ensures that the PVV Design Appraisal Dossier (DAD) is compliant with PED requirements, complete and approved by NoBo for hand over to Construction team.
  • Ensures Constructability, Operability and Maintainability of designed PVV modifications
  • Contributes to achieve clients and Department HSE objectives. Report anomalies and any HSE events.
  • Contributes to the implementation of corrective actions when required/requested.

Profile
Must Have:

  • Experience in Full field Shutdown project
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years within the Petroleum Industry
  • Excellent knowledge of clients referential, international / local Codes & Standards and local regulations related to PVV discipline and excellent knowledge of Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).
  • Pro-active with good organisational skills, team spirit, strong communication skills (verbal & written) and service minded.
  • English language is mandatory, both spoken & written.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Pack Office and Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of Microstation would be an asset

Job Title: Senior Workshop Technician / Machinist - M / F

Job Descriptions
QHSE:

  • Must be and remain well informed of rules, instructions and procedures regarding QHSE.
  • Implements and ensures implementation of SPIE OGS QHSE rules, instructions and procedures.
  • Makes proposals for the continuous improvement of QHSE provisions.
  • Draws up noncompliance and / or observation reports when noting any malfunction or risk situation and transmits them to the local QHSE department.
  • Immediately alerts any person who caused a risk situation, on noting the occurrence of any such situation.
  • Adopts an eco-approach at all times in the exercise of his/her duties.
  • Alerts the line management when encountering any professional situation that does not comply with the principles and rules governing the carrying out of SPIE Group activities (Ethics Alert).

Operations:

  • In charge of the Workshop and all relevant equipment within the workshop.
  • Liaise with the CSR and Mechanical Supervisor for details of workshop activities and work requirements.
  • Control the consumption of consumables ie. Cutting fluids, cutting tools etc. and report to Mechanical Supervisor when stocks are low.
  • Must be willing and able to assist Mechanical team in the field should the need arise.
  • Operate and maintain workshop equipment and tools in safe and appropriate manner.
  • Efficient and meticulous work ethic required with a strong focus on after-the-job housekeeping.
  • Fabricate and shape parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal
  • Maintenance, repair and alteration of machinery, machine parts, tools and equipment
  • Set up, adjust and operate machining tools and specialized tools in order to perform precision machining operations and functions.

Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the maintenance field on offshore oil and gas installations
  • Trade Certification and ONO or Higher Qualification in Mechanical / Production Engineering
  • Experience in the use and maintenance of precision tools, machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, band saw, welder, grinder and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
  • Fabricate and shape parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal
  • Maintenance, repair and alteration of machinery, machine parts, tools and equipment
  • Set up, adjust and operate machining tools and specialized tools in order to perform precision machining operations and functions.

Candidate criteria:

  • Minimum level of experience required - 6 years or more

Languages:

  • English (D-Full professional proficiency)
