  • The Production Operations Superintendant is a senior operational leadership role responsible for the safe, eficient, and optimized hydrocarbon production from the company's swamp and shollow offshore assets in Nigeria.
  • This position directly superviesfeld production activities, maintenance work, and aperational persionnel, ensuring micmom uptime, regulatory compliance, and alignment with corporate production forgets.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Production Management and Optimization

  • Target Achievement: Ensure all production facilities (e.g.. flow stations, FPSOs/FSOs, wellhead platforms) operate at peak efficiency to meet daily, weekly, and monthly hydrocarbon production targets (oil, gas, and water).
  • Operational Integrity: Oversee and manage the integrity, maintenance, and safe operation of all production equipment, including separators, compressors, pumps, pipelines, and manifolds, across swamp and offshore locations.
  • Well Management: Direct the operational aspects of well testing, slickline/wireline activities, chemical injection programs, and flow assurance efforts to optimize well performance and prevent downtime.
  • Cast Control: Manage the operational expenditure (OPEX) budget for production activities, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure efficient utilization of resources (personnel, materials, and equipment).

Leadership and Personnel Supervision

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise the entire production operations team, including Offshore Installation Managers (OIMs), Platform Supervisors, Technicians, and operators, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Contractor Management: Oversee the performance of key operations contractors (e.g., maintenance, catering. marine support) ensuring they adhere to company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Rotational Scheduling: Manage and approve rotational schedules for field personnel, ensuring adequate staffing levels and compliance with working hours regulations for continuous 24/7 operations.

HSE and Regulatory Compliance

  • Safety Leadership: Serve as a visible safety leader, enforcing the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system, conducting safety meetings, and championing the company's HSE policies on all sites.
  • Compliance: Ensure all production activities, fluid discharge, and flaring practices comply with local Nigerian regulations (NUPRC, NMDPRA) and relevant International standards.
  • Incident Management: Coordinate and support emergency response activities and lead initial Investigations into production-related incidents, spills, or equipment failures.

Reporting and Communication

  • Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, downtime analysis, and operational summaries to the management team and regulatory bodies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Feasibility and Investment Support: Conduct preliminary technical and economic analysis, market research, and competitor benchmarking to support the MD's evaluation of business expansion, asset acquisition, and investment opportunities.
