Job Title: Logistics Officer
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Coordinates logistics activities related to procurement, raw and packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Prepares monthly Material Requirement Planning and discusses same with Supply Chain Manager for further discussion with the MD.
• Monitors and coordinates materials supply to production to ensure smooth operations across all plants.
• Coordinates the release of raw materials by the Quality Assurance department.
• Responsible for tracking, receiving, stocking and appropriate storage of all items ordered in the Warehouse.
• Manages the repair and coordinates with maintenance on all logistics equipment
• Prepares import material tracker to monitor GIT.
• Checks shipments to ensure the appropriate items were delivered.
• Re-leaves any of the storekeepers when on casual or annual leave.
• Develops and executes logistics support policy, processes, and methodologies for the general benefit of all mission units (FG, RM/PM and Spare Part stores).
• Develops reports on materials, Finished goods and personnel movements and various operational logistics problems.
• Guides and oversees the performance of new handlers and storekeepers.
• Any other duties as may be directed by the line manager.

Education / Experience

• Graduate in any field with at least 3 years post-qualification experience in the FMCG sector.
