Job Title: Lube Production Supervisior

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• Our client is sourcing for a Lube Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor oversees the production process, and is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the blending and packaging of lube oil and grease, ensuring efficient, effective and safe operations and the achievement of production goals in terms of output, quality and other defined parameters.

Responsibilities

• Undertake short- and long-term production strategy planning; lead and drive the execution of strategies, supporting plans, and initiatives; ensure efficient production strategies are in place
• Set annual and monthly productivity, production costs, material usage and efficiency targets for the department
• Develop and manage the production budget
• Maintain accurate, real-time record for product movement and production output
• Ensure sound functioning of plant assets and equipment through timely proactive and corrective maintenance, repairs and replacements
• Quality Management & Process Optimization
• Recommend, initiate and lead changes in processes and procedures to improve production efficiency and product quality
• Conducts routine product inspection and testing to ensure the product adheres to established quality standards
• Propose and implement quality assurance processes to ensure on-spec products are blended and packaged; support the Operations Manager in the continuous review and implementation of the appropriate quality management system.
• Plan and manage the production process; coordinate the production phases, and raw material provision in order to ensure smooth and appropriate daily operation in terms of capacity and quality
• Determine resource requirements to support the achievement of set goals including raw materials, packaging materials, personnel,
• Manage production resources and ensure optimization
• Oversee the input documentation and reconciliation of finished blended and packaged products against quantities of raw materials received
• Plan, organize and schedule workflow according to the workload to meet production targets and delivery schedule
• Monitor and ensure adherence to HSE standards; evaluate production operations for compliance with HSE standards
• Report and take appropriate actions, if possible, in event of an unsafe act or condition, near-miss incident or accident in the workplace
• Lead and manage the laboratory team and its activities
• Facilitate team development; manage performance
• Provide technical support in the design and formulation of new products
• Ensure adherence to operational excellence tenets in production operations
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPI) such as volume blended, volume packaged, losses, re-works, man-hours, number of staff for review and continuous improvement
• Undertake period and ad-hoc reporting, to support management decision-making as required
• Perform other duties assigned

Requirements

• 6-8 years cognitive experience in lubricant operations
• Business and Financial Acumen; Financial Management fundamentals; Knowledge of P&L
