Job Title: Maintenance Foreman

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • TAG Lines Oil & Gas Services, a leading integrated service company in Nigeria's upstream oil and gas sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Foreman for one of our clients at Agbami FPSO.
  • This is a critical role responsible for overseeing and ensuring the efficient and safe execution of all maintenance operations across our facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily maintenance operations including mechanical, piping, rotating equipment, and general facility maintenance.
  • Allocate tasks to technicians and artisans, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and to required standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify defects, wear, or potential failures.
  • Monitor spare parts usage and liaise with stores/procurement for timely availability of materials and tools.
  • Support mobilization and demobilization activities for projects, including site preparation and equipment readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications, OEM recommendations, and applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians to improve technical competence and team performance.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and incident investigations as required.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are developed, implemented, and adhered to.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and coordinate effective troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies, toolbox talks, permit-to-work systems, and job safety analyses (JSA).
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, job cards, and reports for completed and ongoing work.
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, and project teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Carry out any other maintenance-related duties as assigned by management.

General Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in a supervisory maintenance role within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and generate reports.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills for effective inter-departmental collaboration.
  • Experience with spare parts management and inventory control.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, piping, and rotating equipment maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising a team of technicians and artisans.
  • Proficiency in implementing and adhering to preventive maintenance programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, and JSA.
