Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary

• The Management Accountant will assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in making critical financial decisions and optimize financial planning.
• You will be responsible for preparing financial reports and develop and implement strategies to reduce businesses’ operational costs.
• You will provide administrative support to the CFO and will work with the finance team to help maintain and smoothly run the accounts department.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and interpreting information to evaluate the efficiency of financial procedures.
• Maintaining all records of assets and schedules.
• Communicate with all departments to ensure invoices are approved and signed off.
• Using computerised accounting systems.
• Assisting with any other ad hoc duties as required by the CFO.
• Preparation of periodic budgets and variance analysis.
• Preparing financial reports and budgets and forecasting income and expenditure.
• Analyzing key financial data and advising senior management on strategic planning.
• Performing financial recordkeeping, as well as protecting sensitive and confidential information.
• Preparation of periodic accounting reports as well as end-of-year management accounts.
• Input and posting into the computerised accounting systems.

Requirements

• B.Sc or HND in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years working experience as a Management Accountant.
• ACA or ACCA certification
• Strong mathematical and analytical attitude.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Organisation and attention to detail.
• Superb leadership and problem-solving skills.
