As part of the project activities, formative research is to be conducted in Osun and Ebonyi states, which is aimed at determining the final location of the study site, contextualizing the project sites in terms of EPI coverage, data quality of HMIS, complementary community delivery platforms for IPTi and the identification of sentinel surveillance sites for patient follow up, A gender analysis will be done as part of the formative research.
Addressing gender issues in the design of the project at the inception helps ensure equity in access and benefits for men and women and children.
