Job Title: Oncology Officer

Reports to: Centre Manager/Head of Operations

Job Summary

• We're seeking a skilled Medical Officer (Oncology) to join our team, focusing on quality assurance, clinical protocol development, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• The successful candidate will lead quality audits, support staff development, and participate in developing clinical treatment protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Contour target organs for radiotherapy treatment and ensure accurate CT simulations
• Conduct follow-up consultations for radiotherapy patients and provide expert care
• Participate in departmental meetings, clinical audits, and tumor board meetings
• Support staff development and Continuous Quality Improvement processes
• Contribute to research and development in oncology
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review clinical treatment protocols
• Provide advice on cancer patient management, including radiation therapy and chemotherapy
• Counsel patients and attendants, obtaining informed consent and discussing treatment options

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with 3 - 5 years work experience. 
• Strong understanding of oncology treatment protocols and evidence-based practices
• Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills
• Board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology or related specialty
• Proven experience in quality assurance, clinical audits, and multidisciplinary collaboration

• Business acumen and stakeholder management

Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 per month.
