Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF) is a Nonprofit Non-Governmental National Organization Established in Nigeria In July 2014 with the purpose of improving lives of people through effective and efficient humanitarian assistance within communities, and providing economic opportunities as well as providing emergency aid during Natural Disasters, War and other Conflicts in Nigeria.

In partnership with International and National Networking, LPF has provided humanitarian and developmental assistance to individuals, families, schools and community in more than three (3) States in Nigeria regardless of their Ethnicity, Political and Religious Affiliation.

We are recruiting to fill the positions below:

 

 

 

Job Title: Store Assistant

Location: Pulka, Borno
Job Type: Fixed Term
Contract Duration: 8 Months with possibility of extension.

Duty Description

  • Executing the stock management activities (receipt, storage, and issuance to projects or other departments of WASH supplies, food and Non-Food items, spare parts, tools, equipment, and / or other logistics materials), according to the line manager’s instructions and LPF standards and protocols, in order to ensure the overall functioning of LPF activities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supervision of goods and materials supplied and dispatched to ensure rational use
  • Receiving orders and deliveries, identifying and reporting potential discrepancies against cargo manifest or others.
  • Store materials in accordance with the system in force in order to ensure continuous availability.
  • Updating and/or creating stock cards for all stock items immediately after the reception of goods.
  • Checking the received cold boxes and controlling the cold chain-monitoring card
  • Store materials in accordance with the system in force in order to ensure continuous availability ensuring that all items are well organized and correctly stored, well protected, fully identified, and easily accessible (cleanliness, security, access, etc.).
  • Monitor store temperature and ensure cold chain items are stored at an adequate temperature.
  • Keeping a special control of “sensitive” goods: numbers of lots, expiry dates, packaging, and special storage conditions
  • Prepare orders on time before sending goods, and packs (according to means of cargo transport) weighs and labels freight with corresponding shipping number, destination, number of shipping units, waybill number, weight, and mode of transport in accordance with the line manager’s instructions
  • In conjunction with the line manager, performing physical stock counts in accordance with the frequency previously defined.
  • Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out, and expiry dates.
  • Controlling warehouse limited access to authorized personnel and ensuring doors and other exits are secured.
  • Notify line manager accordingly of any problems arising in the course of the work, particularly with regard to damage, loss, attempted break-ins, or theft in the warehouse
  • Assist the line manager with the preparation of the stock reports.
  • Assist in monitoring shipment coming into and out of warehouse using Unified units of measurement to track and update items

  • Applicants must have a minimum aualification of National Diploma, Higher National Diploma or University Degree in any related field of discipline

Job Title: Hygiene Promotion Assistant

Location: Pulka, Borno
Job Type: Fixed Term

Duty Description

  • The Hygiene Promotion will participate in hygiene campaigns, door to door hygiene promotion and Focus Group Discussion (FGD).
  • He or she, will prepare clear and adapted written messages for the beneficiaries.
  • He or she will distribute hygiene items and should be able to prepare hygiene promotion plans.
  • The Hygiene Promotion Field Officer may support other WaSH activities as well.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Identify the most appropriate message regarding the target population
  • Write succinctly and understandable message
  • Evaluate the necessary material needed for a campaign/activity
  • Identify problems and provide sustainable changes of WASH Knowledge, Aptitudes and Practices to the local communities
  • Mobilize the community to positive behavioral change towards hygiene practice. Creation and follow up WASH Committees and their performance in the Informal Settlements
  • Convince all household of the importance of good hygiene practice
  • Ensure the work is properly done with prudent use of material
  • Participate in hygiene campaign, doing shows in schools and at community level
  • Animate focus group, giving clear message on good hygiene practices
  • Report the progress of the work to the supervisor
  • Report possible problem or conflict during the activities
  • Report the use of materials and possible improvement
  • Data collection regarding the project and potential beneficiaries
  • Regular reporting to Hygiene Promotion Supervisor
  • Conduct household assessments
  • Distribution of water and sanitation items
  • Support other WaSH related activities
  • Any other task assigns by supervisor/Head of Department.

Job Title: Senior Finance Officer

Location: Maiduguri, With Frequent Travel to Pulka
Job Type: Fixed Term

Duty Description

  • The Role Is to Provide Support to Program Manager in Ensuring That Documents for Payment of Vendors, Field Staffs, Volunteers, Program and Support Staff Monthly Allowance Are Collated Timely and in an efficient Manner, Processed in Line with Organization Policy and Donor Organization Standard of Operation. The Role Reports to Program Manager.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Financial Management:

  • Support the creation of organizational forecast.
  • Prepare a monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Support developing monthly and yearly financial reports for submission to the Executive Director.
  • Support the auditing of the organization account by an appointed external auditor on an annual basis.
  • Support quarterly organizational internal audits for State Finance and Administration Operations.
  • Develop and process organization payroll.

Organizational Management:

  • Support development of organization and donor’s budget.
  • Provide technical support and supervision to the finance assistants.
  • Support accounting financial management tools in line with organization priorities annually.
  • Support in the preparation of the organization’s budget.
  • Act on behalf of the team leader, finance and admin where and when necessary.
  • Collect and collate all fund requests from state team
  • Responsible for all bank deposits and withdrawals including transfers
  • Maintain and issue receipts and cheque
  • Make payment to vendors and meeting participants
  • Responsible for safe keep of financial files and records
  • Prepares bank reconciliation statement
  • Ensure prompt remittance of statutory deductions
  • Update the project fixed assets registered regularly
  • Prepare payment request and vouchers
  • Prepare statutory financial reports as fall dues
  • Supervise proper keeping of petty cash box and records
  • Undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time

Job Title: WASH Program Coordinator

Location: Maiduguri, Borno (With frequent travel to Pulka)
Employment type: Fixed Term
Contract Duration: 8 Months with possibility of extension.

Duty Description

  • The Project Manager ensures that the operation and maintenance of WASH facilities in the Two (2) IDP camps and host communities are implemented effectively, professionally and timely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advice management and project team on WASH Programming and coordinator with other sectors
  • Ensure implementation quality and adherence to technical guidelines, administrative system and project deadline
  • Contribute to the implementation of LPF’s WASH Programme activities in term of community participation and feedback
  • Identify and addressing staff capacity gaps
  • Advise on mainstreaming gender and protection in project activities
  • Contribute to contingency planning for possible WASH emergency response
  • Monitor adherence to the approved work, budget, and organization’s Standard Operating Policy (SOP).
  • Contributing to the preparation of reports for LPF and Donors.
