Lagos Food Bank is a non-profit, nutrition-focused initiative committed to fighting hunger, reducing food waste and solving the problem of malnutrition through targeted programs that seek to improve the nutrition/food intake of pregnant women and their infants who are not able to get the required nutrient during pregnancy and breastfeeding of their babies.

Job Description

  • The Volunteer Management Officer supports the food bank by overseeing, coordination, and engagement of volunteers to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • The role involves managing volunteer schedules, delivering training, and fostering a positive and inclusive volunteer experience.
  • Using strong data analytics skills, the officer tracks volunteer metrics, identifies trends, and provides insights to improve efficiency and support reporting needs.
  • The position requires critical thinking to solve operational challenges, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with safety and organizational standards.
  • Strong project management abilities are essential for planning volunteer initiatives, organizing community outreach events, and coordinating special projects that enhance the food bank’s impact and capacity.
