OSOPADEC Bursary Award


Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) - In promoting and supporting academic scholarship among the youth of the mandate areas, the Commission since 2004 has been giving scholarship /busary awards to indigenes of Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local government
areas in tertiary institutions of learning. In this regard, between 2004 till date, the commission has awarded bursary to over 15,000 beneficiaries.

Application for 2013/2014 Bursary Award

Summary
This is to notify indigenes of Ondo State Oil Producing Areas in tertiary institutions of learning in the country that application forms for the OSOPADEC 2013/2014 Bursary Scheme are available for collection at the following centres:

  • Commission’s Head Office Oba-Ile, Akure,
  • OSOPADEC Area Office, lgbokoda,
  • Local Government Secretariat, lgbekebo,
  • Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo,
  • College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti and
  • Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko,
  • Application forms will be made available Free-of-Charge to prospective applicants at the "Commission/designated Centres".
  • Date: Monday 17th August to Monday 7th September, 2015.
Eligibility
  • Applicants must be indigenes of the Oil Producing Areas of Ondo State.
  • They must be bonafide students of recognized Tertiary Institutions within the country in the 2013/2014 Academic year.
  • Applicants are mandated to present originals and photocopies of all their credentials at the point of form collection. i.e School Identity Card, JAMB Result Slip, Admission Letter, Current School Receipt, Passport Photographs and Certificate of Local Government of Origin.
  • Postgraduate and Law school students are also eligible for the scheme (2013/2014 Academic year).
  • Part-time/Sandwich, Pre-degree, NTI, Certificate/Diploma students are NOT eligible for the Award.
  • Dishonesty, multiple registrations, fraud and malpractice of any form will attract outright disqualification.
  • Please note that the bursary award runs only for the normal duration of study of each course.
  • No change of Bank details will be entertained after submission of application.
  • Applicants are mandated to use their personal Bank Account details.
  • Late registration will not be entertained.
  • Applicants are mandated to read through the instructional guidelines for the scheme.
  • Incomplete registration will not be processed.
  • Application forms will not be released by proxy.
  • On the spot registration and submission of forms are highly preferable.
