Job Title: Procurement Assistant

Location: Shagamu, Ogun

Job Description

• We are looking to hire a Procurement Assistant to join our Shagamu team.
• The Procurement Assistantwill be involved in the sourcing of goods and services, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement to support organizational operations.
• The role involves field engagement of vendors/suppliers.negotiation, contract management, and maintaining compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Applicants in the environs of Lagos and Ibadan willing to relocate are also encouraged to apply, as accomodation will be provided at the company site in Shagamu.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
• Vendor vetting and management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and staying ahead of market trends.
• Assist in conduct of supplier performance evaluations and manage vendor agreements effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs.

Qualifications/Requirements

• BSc / HND / NCE / Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management andBusiness Administration, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
• A proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of markets in Lagos to source for industrial wares is a must.
• Additional certifications such as Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or Nigerian Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management (NIPSM) are a plus.
• 2 - 4years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management.

Salary
N2,000,000 - N2,400,000 annually.
