Procurement Specialist at Biase Plantation Limited

Wilmar Oil palm plantation located in Cross River State and we have 15,000 hectares (ha) for oil palm plantation, employing 5,500 workers.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Location: Calabar, Cross River (Biase Plantation Limited - 45 KM from Calabar)
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting to: Purchase Manager / GM

Job Profile

• We are looking for an experienced, honest, trustworthy, and hard-working candidate who can work in a remote place in a challenging environment,
• This role involves sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services necessary for the operations.
• The specialist ensures that procurement activities are conducted in a cost-effective, timely, and ethical manner.
• Cost Control and Budget Management- Develop and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs and improve efficiency.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions and supplier performance issues.
• Collaborate with internal departments of Wilmar Nigeria Plantations.
• Provide training and guidance to team.
• Knowledge of customs clearance, freight handling is a must.
• He is must good in new Sourcing and Supplier Management
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay updated on industry trends.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts in compliance with Wilmar policies and legal requirements.
• Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that arise.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and service agreements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Accounts
• Professional qualification (ICAN, CIBN, CIPS or Equivalent)
• Proficient computer literacy in Ms. office suite.
• At least 3 years experience in sourcing or equivalent role.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably with experience in Nigeria.

Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 Monthly.
