Nigerian Inter-Faith Action Association (NIFAA) is a non-governmental Organization duly registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission, The organization has its headquarters in Abuja and periodically works across the 36 states of the country.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 

Job Title: Program Manager

Location: Nigeria
Duration of contract: August 2023 to February 2025

Context

  • As a result of NIFAAs works, millions of interfaith leaders in every corner of Nigeria are equipped to combine religious teachings with health and development messages to influence behaviours that ensure health, social and spiritual well-being.
  • NIFAA, in partnership with governments and the international community promotes and facilitates an interfaith platform that mobilizes faith leaders to encourage their congregants ’to adopt positive behaviours that lead to health, social and spiritual well-being. NIFAA has been working in Nigeria since 2009.

Purpose

  • This position plays a vital role in the day-to-day implementation of the initiative’s work plan through designated projects and programs in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

  • Resource mobilization and development of proposals
  • Maintain good working relationship with all relevant stakeholders including identified vulnerable groups and other target audiences
  • Collaborates with the monitoring and Evaluation officer in data collection and reporting
  • Collaborate with the Social Behavioural change communication and Advocacy Manager in implementation of Organisations projects
  • Develops and obtains approval of a detailed plan that will result in achieving the associational goals set by the board of trustees
  • Manage the current project of the organisation- PMI for states on Domestic resource mobilization
  • Oversee the implementation of Task Order 3 and 4 in the current project of the organisation
  • Ensures effective implementation of the plan in terms of guiding the development of intervention programmes
  • Guides the establishment of a program implantation framework
  • Collaborates with the outside experts and the technical Advisory committee in facilitating the implementation of designated strategies and programmes
  • Collaborates with the community inter-faith community, NGOs, Local Government and industry representatives in understanding and supporting the implementation of designated strategies and programs

Requirements
Essential Criteria:

  • Level of Education – Master's Degree.
  • Medical Doctor
  • Significant experience, minimum of 7 years’ experience in similar role, providing programmatic leadership in program activities, etc.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with an international NGO
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a local international funded NGO
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Language Requirements: Spoken English-Excellent; Written English-Excellent
  • Level of IT Expertise: Good (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Ability to multi-task, engage in long-term planning, meet deadlines, and handle last-minute demands; exercise patience, and adapt to changing circumstances.
