Job Description
- We are seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee and enhance the operations of our Job Center, ensuring its sustainability, impact, and alignment with our mission.
- This role involves program management, stakeholder engagement, and funding support to ensure the success and growth of our initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to secure job opportunities for PWDs.
- Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and community forums to promote the Job Center’s objectives.
- Act as a liaison between PWDs and potential employers to address challenges and foster mutual understanding.
Funding and Resource Mobilization:
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships, to support program activities and growth.
- Develop compelling proposals, concept notes, and presentations to secure financial and in-kind contributions.
- Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure efficient use of resources.
Program Management:
- Develop, implement, and monitor programs and services offered by the Job Center to ensure they align with organizational goals.
- Coordinate skill development workshops, career counseling sessions, and job placement activities for PWDs.
- Evaluate program outcomes and prepare regular reports to showcase impact and areas for improvement.
- Maintain compliance with relevant legal and organizational policies, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
Administrative Duties:
- Supervise and support program staff and volunteers, ensuring effective delivery of services.
- Maintain accurate records of participants, program activities, and outcomes.
- Manage schedules, logistics, and communications for Job Center activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, or securing sponsorships.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program coordination, preferably in the nonprofit or social impact sector.
- Strong knowledge of disability inclusion, employment laws, and workforce development strategies.
