Job Title: Waiter / Waitress

Job Description

• We are looking for a skilled Waiter or Waitress to take orders and deliver to our customers.
• The right Waiter/Waitress uplifts the dining experience for customers. We are looking for someone who will have the patience, personality, and perseverance to thrive in this role.
• Ultimately, it is the duty of our Waiters/Waitresses to provide an excellent overall dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort customers to their tables
• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
• Inform customers about the day’s specials
• Offer menu recommendations upon request
• Up-sell additional products when appropriate
• Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, orderslips or by memorization
• Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
• Serve food and drink orders
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
• Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
• Deliver checks and collect bill payments

Requirements

• Candidates should possess SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 2 years experience.

Job Title: Chef

Location: Onitsha, Anambra

Job Description

• We are looking for a Chef to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our customers.
• Chef responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus, and preparing high-quality dishes. Ultimately, you’ll prepare and deliver a complete menu that delights our guests.

Responsibilities

• Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans, and kitchen scales
• Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
• Cook food in a timely manner
• Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
• Inform wait staff about daily specials
• Ensure appealing plate presentation
• Supervise Cooks and assist as needed
• Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
• Monitor food stock and place orders
• Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
• Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Chef or cook
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)
• Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking, and pastry techniques
• Leadership skills
• Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
• Excellent time management abilities
• Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 1 - 3 years experience
• Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
