Job Title: Managing Editor
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • The managing editor would oversee all aspects of publications as a senior member of a publication's management team.
  • Plan and manage all daily operations
  • Hire, coach and supervise personnel
  • Collaborate with editor in chief to determine issues’ content and topics
  • Coordinate editorial publications and meetings
  • Plan and approve assignments for writers and editors
  • Control schedules and enforce deadlines (for writers, photographers, designers etc.)
  • Oversee proofreading procedures and edit copy when necessary
  • Assist in evaluating finalized copy for compliance with policies, style and tone
  • Resolve issues as they arise
  • Attend events on behalf of the company or editor in chief

Desired Skills and Experience

  • At least 10 years proven experience as managing editor
  • Exceptional ability in copywriting and editing
  • Abilities in planning and coordinating people and operations

Job Title: HR Specialist
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • The HR Specialist would provide leadership and support to ensure the implementation of the HR strategy in line with the operational plans and support the L&D strategies.
  • Ensure the company manages its people appropriately so as to adopt best practice and comply with employment legislation, mitigating any risks to the business
  • Maintain and validating personnel records on the company’s integrated HR & Payroll systems ensuring payroll submission is accurate
  • Coach, support, mentor and challenge managers in the application of HR policies and practices, provide advice and guidance on HR issues.
  • Provide specialist advice on a range of HR issues where required and provide support during meetings
  • Take ownership of the Training plan and ensure this is delivered accordingly
  • Develop and deliver training programs relevant to the needs of the business and liaise with the L&D team to support learning and development programmes

Desired Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years proven experience as HR Manager
  • HND / BSc degree in a related field
  • Knowledge and experience in building positive organisational culture and managing HR Operations
  • Good organization andattention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of labour law and employment regulation

 

 

 

Job Title: Analyst
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • The Analyst would be responsible for researching and reporting on financial information, as well as monitoring financial movements within the market.
  • Analysing current and past financial data
  • Assessing current financial performance and identifying trends
  • Preparing reports on the above information and communicating the insights of these reports to the wider business
  • Consulting with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans
  • Work collaboratively across the entire finance team to analyse business performance and strategy.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 2-5 years’ experience as an Analyst
  • BSc degree in Accounting/Economics/Finance or related field
  • Experience with statistical analysis and financial forecasting
  • Attention to detail and the ability to identify data patterns
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Abreast of industry updates

 

 

 

Job Title: Head of Research
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • The Head of Research would be responsible for providing oversight over the research / analysis for target industries, markets, and capital markets, with the aim of providing own audience with a robust evidence-base in making financial and investment decisions.
  • Oversee the collection of market data & trend-spotting on various classes of security instruments, and their transformation into actionable information through fundamental, technical, and quantitative analysis, presented in periodic research notes with the aim of supporting investment decision-making by both internal teams and clients
  • Responsible for providing analytical support in the production, and maintenance of marketing collaterals for the securities business.
  • Responsible for all quantitative and qualitative research and managing the evidence/research/database, which informs the strategic development of Financial Inclusion
  • Lead commissioned research and policy analysis initiatives, as well as provide technical assistance to research and policy components embedded within specific projects/programmes
  • Drive and support knowledge and insight activities while being accountable for availability and quality of knowledge assets

Desired Skills and Experience

  • At least 7 years proven experience in a financial investment research department
  • Bachelor degree from accredited university.
  • MBA or other advanced degree in finance.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in finance, and investment management (e.g. CIS, CFA, ACCA).
