Job Title: Research Analyst

Location: Marina, Lagos.
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilites

  • Conduct and publish Equity Research Reports. This includes stocks listed on The NSE, those trading on NASD, and any other as may be required.
  • Write and publish quarterly and year-end market reports.
  • Write and publish macroeconomic analysis.
  • Meet with and provide information to employees; this might include summaries of research, investment ideas, key events from the preceding day, as well as key drivers for the day ahead.
  • Make recommendations to employees and clients, position ideas, and articulate to the employees and clients about the risks or payoffs for each recommendation.
  • Assist in the compilation and publication of daily market updates, business headlines, and companies' publication results, amongst others.
  • Prepare presentations for all investors and participate in all sales meetings;
  • Analyze all quarterly reports for investors and identify appropriate market trends for all fund investments.
  • Administer and prepare cash flow models for financial structures.
  • Make recommendations on areas such as the viability of an idea, potential to market a product, and market trends for current / similar products.
  • Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing / business models, sales, and methods of operation.
  • Participate in the preparation of presentations needed for the Company’s weekly Investment meeting
  • Attend weekly Investment meetings and contribute meaningfully at the meeting.
  • Attend to existing / prospective clients and staff inquiries either directly or referred to the department.
  • Liaise with employees and network with industry professionals.
  • Compile advisory reports and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and funds that could enhance or diversify portfolios.
  • Develop complex financial models.
  • Participate in developing integrated marketing and product strategies designed to meet the organization's strategic goals and drive the change towards a customer-centric business
  • Using statistical software to manage and organize information.
  • Monitoring the progress of research projects.
  • Writing detailed reports and presenting results.
  • Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect them.
  • Perform valid and reliable SWOT analysis, interpret data, formulate reports, and make recommendations.
  • Evaluate program methodology and key data to ensure that data on the releases are accurate and the angle of the release is correct.
  • Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties’ researches, and implement best practices.
  • To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate.
  • Writing and managing the distribution of surveys and questionnaires.
  • Conducting qualitative or quantitative surveys, which may involve field, interview, or focus group assessments.
  • Conduct a periodic scan of the competition product features and offerings.
  • Constantly scan the competition landscape to identify trends, inhibitors, threats, and opportunities for partnerships.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree with 5-6 years work experience
