Job Title: Sales and Marketing Officer

Locations: Abuja and Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Sales& Marketing Officer is responsible for driving sales of trucks and maintenance services, identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires a strong understanding of the trucking industry, excellent sales skills, and the ability to meet sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:

  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and field visits.
  • Identify and engage potential customers, including fleet operators, logistics companies, and individuals.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Follow up on leads and inquiries to convert prospects into customers.
  • Present, promote, and sell trucks and maintenance services to prospective clients.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable truck models and maintenance packages.
  • Provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Address customer concerns and complaints promptly to maintain a positive reputation.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer preferences and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding market trends and customer demands.

Sales Administration & Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports to track performance and target achievement.
  • Work closely with the finance and service teams to ensure smooth transaction processing.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of customers and prospects.
  • Process sales orders, contracts, and necessary documentation.

Requirements
Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3years experience in truck sales, automotive sales, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel for client visits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of truck brands, models, and maintenance services.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
