Job Title: Senior Business Development Executive

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a Senior Business Development Executive with over five years of experience in technical sales within the upstream oil and gas sector.
  • Experienced in driving business growth, identifying opportunities, managing client and partner relationships, preparing bids and tenders, and working within Nigeria’s upstream regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in achieving the company’s business growth objectives within the upstream oil and gas sector.
  • Develop technical and commercial knowledge of all company products and services.
  • Contribute to the achievement of business development strategies and sales objectives.
  • Identify immediate and long-term client needs for company products and services.
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings between E&P companies and business partners.
  • Liaise between the company and industry agencies and regulators, including NAPIMS and DPR.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with clients and partners and develop a strong understanding of their needs.
  • Identify application areas at client sites and propose appropriate product benefits and usage.
  • Identify and recommend suitable technical assistance for key customers.
  • Prospect for and acquire new, financially viable, high-volume customers.
  • Prepare and deliver effective product and service presentations to clients.
  • Manage customer accounts effectively to ensure sales targets are fully achieved.
  • Collate and communicate relevant business intelligence to management.
  • Ensure full payment for all supplies and services provided.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Provide regular updates on business plans, activities, and progress.
  • Demonstrate consistent sales development success and target-driven performance.
  • Develop a clear understanding of joint venture partner operations and new technologies.
  • Gather market and project intelligence for the preparation of reports, tenders, and presentations for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Define customer engagement strategies and develop customer relationship plans for each customer group.
  • Collate client-specific intelligence and prepare weekly business reports.
  • Interface with industry regulators and follow up on submitted tenders.
  • Generate work orders, Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and Purchase Orders (POs).

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Technical Sales in the Upstream subsector of the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven achievement of annual sales targets of at least USD 2.5 million.
