We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Store Officer

Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all products in the store, including tracking stock levels and reorder points.
Oversee the process of receiving goods, inspecting their quality and quantity, and arranging them for storage.
Ensure efficient and organized storage of products within the supermarket, optimizing space and accessibility.
Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) principles to minimize product spoilage or expiration.
Monitor stock levels and initiate restocking activities as required to meet customer demand.
Inspect products for quality and report any damaged or expired items for replacement.
Implement a tracking system to manage product shelf life, and ensure that expired products are removed from the shelves.
Familiarity with inventory management software or Microsoft Excel.
Friendly and helpful customer service approach.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced supermarket environment.
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to place orders, manage deliveries, and handle product returns or replacements.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols for storage and handling of products
Generate stock reports
Participate in periodic stocktaking to reconcile physical inventory with records.
Proficiency in inventory control, including tracking, counting, and management.
Strong focus on product details, expiration dates, and quality.
Ability to maintain a well-organized and efficient storage system.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and assisting customers.
