We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Switch Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Support to Drive implementation of new architecture, optimisation, upgrades of core switch and related services both at central and at the banks
• Report to the Head of Switch and Application to liaise with partner banks to ensure core switch infrastructures within the banks are properly maintained and managed to deliver payment services to customers securely.
• Support the lead to Provide full-service delivery responsibility to ensure sufficient system capacity is made available; that renewal plans to replace obsolete or at-risk technology are timely; and that SLAs with the business are being met or exceeded for switching services and payment products that depend on Core Switch for transaction.
• Support the Core switch and all its interfaces to ensure optimal performance. Ensure high availability of the Core switch, switching products and their interfaces
• Raise requests relevant to the operation and enhancement of the core switch and its interfaces.
• Support Lead Switch Engineer on planning, prioritization, performing upgrades, fix requests or minor enhancements as related to Switch Infrastructure and Services, both at HQ and DR.
• Support the Lead on implementation, activation and support of all SwitchIT partners and merchants

Requirements

• Prior experience in managing E-Channels Support, ATM Support, Core Banking Support, User Support, Systems Administration of Windows and Linux platforms, as well as Database Administration.
• Hands-on experience with configuring, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade switches
• Prior experience in a financial services institution.
