Job Description

• The Tally Clerk is responsible for accurately recording and monitoring all cargo movement within the terminal.
• This role ensures proper documentation, verification, and reporting of cargo loaded or discharged from vessels, trucks, and warehouses.
• The Tally Clerk supports smooth terminal operations through attention to detail, data accuracy, and effective communication with relevant stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

• Record and tally all cargo loaded, discharged, or moved within the terminal.
• Verify cargo quantities and ensure proper documentation during vessel operations.
• Ensure cargo is properly labeled, stacked, and stored according to safety and operational guidelines.
• Utilize Android mobile devices for data entry, communication, and real-time reporting.
• Support HSE compliance and participate actively in safety briefings.
• Assist in preparing cargo manifests, tally sheets, and other operational records.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, foremen, and equipment operators during operations.
• Report discrepancies or irregularities in cargo documentation or movement.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor or Superintendent.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of OND in any discipline
• Basic understanding of cargo handling and terminal operations is an advantage.
• Proficient numeracy and data recording skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
