Technical Director, Engineering at the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB)


The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) was established in 2010 by the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act. NCDMB is vested with the mandate to make procedures that will guide, monitor, coordinate and implement the provisions of the NOGICD Act signed into law on April 22, 2010. 

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Technical Director, Engineering

Location: Nigeria

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop local business opportunities or WP technologies by being in close contact with clients finding new applications and/or markets and by performing technical sales/tendering.
  • Develop application co competence of the internal organization and provide leadership/support for engineers so they succeed in the given tasks.
  • Support and guideline projects with technology competence
  • Advise in matters of new product feasibility, engineering policies, product Information, product usage, limitations, and recommendations.
  • Responsible for technical support for Sales Department in the form of special investigations internal technical reports, papers presented to the industry, technical information, and analysis for customer product performance questions.
  • Demonstrate strong competence in active design and costing tools as well as design guidelines and guide others in using these correctly.
  • Direct the necessary programs to develop and maintain competitive products, performance analysis, and applicable test functions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must possess at least Master's Degree in Engineering in Europe with 12 years' experience on projects.
  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in a team lead role.
  • Management training.
  • Chartered Status.
  • Knowledge of HYSYS and Aveva E3D
  • Understand common place industry materials and their application. Participating & chairing meeting.
  • Understanding of engineering documents and drawings
  • Be aware of ATEX and IEC Regulations.
  • Previous work experience covering Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Proficiency in English and Portuguese with Italy.
