A fast growing downstream oil and gas company located in Lagos and quoted on the Nigeria Stock exchange seeks applications from qualified candidates to fill the post of:
POSITION: MANAGING DIRECTOR/CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
JOB PURPOSE:
The successful candidate shall oversee the day to day running of the company in line with the medium to long term strategic vision of the Board of Directors.He will be required to provide strategic leadership, direction and guidance for the management team and staff of the company as well as implementation of such business and investment strategies that will impact positively on the company’s bottom line.
He shall be guided by a strong commitment to enduring corporate governance principles, and accountability.
SPECIFICALLY, THE MD/CEO SHALL:
Take full responsibility for investment and business decisions in the company in line with the vision and direction as set out by the Board.
Exercise executive management responsibility over the delivery of the company’s statutory obligations to the stakeholders.
Develop the business in line with the set out objectives and maintain strategic relationships with the various stakeholders Key institutions and investors.
Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the implementation of the corporate strategies and provide guidance for the management team and staff of the company.
Oversee the day to day running of the company and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Any other duties as may be directed by the Board.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A first degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance. Business Administration or any relevant discipline,
Good leadership skills, business management, interpersonal skills with excellent track record of measurable results
Excellent Marketing and Communication skills
A post-graduate degree(s) in any business/finance related field such as an MBA will be an added advantage
A good understanding of the downstream sector of the Oil and Gas industry.
Strong professional profile with excellent business development skills
Minimum of 10 years post graduation experience of which a minimum of 5 years must have been in the related industry at senior management level.
