Job Description
We are looking for a talented Transport Coordinator – Logistics to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Logistics, Warehousing and Purchasing Departmen t in Ikeja, Nigeria.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Streamlining Data Management: By accurately gathering, compiling, and verifying data, you’ll ensure that reports, presentations, and forms are precise and reliable.
• Enhancing Efficiency: Your support in preparing statistical reports and conducting research will help the team make informed decisions quickly.
• Maintaining Compliance: Documenting and maintaining departmental policies and procedures will help ensure that the team adheres to organizational standards.
• Contributing to Projects: Participating in business improvement assignments and projects will allow you to bring fresh ideas and support the team’s goals.
• Providing Reliable Administrative Support: Performing routine administrative activities will help keep the department running smoothly and support overall productivity.
• Planning, overseeing, and coordinating transportation operations within the organization, as well as managing third 3rd Part Logistics vendors.
• Improving Communication: Handling routine inquiries and correspondence will ensure that internal and external communications are clear and timely.
• Facilitating Smooth Operations: Scheduling meetings, arranging conference calls, and receiving visitors will help maintain a well-organized and efficient office environment.
• Supporting Financial Processes: Preparing and submitting documentation for payments will ensure that vendors and suppliers are paid promptly, maintaining good relationships.

Responsibilities
To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Strong Organizational Skills: Efficiently plan and schedule transportation activities, coordinate with logistics personnel, and maintain accurate records to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
• Effective Communication: Clearly communicate with carriers, drivers, and other stakeholders, and present data visually through reports and dashboards to illustrate business problems and solutions.
• Attention to Detail: Track and process vendor invoices, payments, and proof of delivery (POD) logs meticulously, ensuring compliance with SLAs and maintaining accurate records for all logistics activities.
• Analytical Abilities: Utilize data analytics to discover, interpret, and communicate insights from both qualitative and quantitative data, enabling data-driven decisions and effective problem-solving.

Education / Experience

• BSc or HND equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
• Experience with 3rd Party Transportation management.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
