Job Title: Technical Expert - Nigeria Water and Sanitation
Location: Abuja
Responsibilities and Duties
- International Resources Group (IRG), an Engility company, is
currently seeking for a Water and Sanitation Engineer for an anticipated
USAID-funded water and sanitation activity in Nigeria.
IRG is seeking Technical Experts with current knowledge of the water
sector in Nigeria and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Water/sanitation utility establishment, management, privatization, and/or reform
- Water sector financing, including tariff structures and reform,
operation and maintenance financing, cost recovery, capital improvements
and system expansion, and related areas
- Rural water service provision
- Fecal sludge management
- Business model development for sustainable urban sanitation
- Water/sanitation service delivery and reform, including both provision and regulation
- Reform of state water entities and institutions (financial management, governance, human resources and related areas)
- Private sector engagement and participation within the water/sanitation sector
Long-term And Short-term Consulting Roles Include:
- Water Supply, Wastewater and Sanitation Specialist

Minimum Tangible Qualifications
- Advanced degree in relevant technical area preferred
- A minimum of five years of experience designing and leading
implementation of interventions in one or more of the target areas
listed above
- USAID project experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Nigeria experience preferred
