RedAid Nigeria is a young local non-governmental organization, founded In 2018. which shares Its vision with DAHW Deutsche Lepra- und Tuberkulosehilfee. V. (in English: German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Association), a non-governmental organization based in Wurzburg, Germany, for a world In which no one Is deprived of his/her fundamental human rights due to leprosy, tuberculosis and other poverty-related conditions and the disabling consequences they bring. Since Its foundation the organisation successfully implements projects with the funds raised from local and international donors, Institutions and foundations.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Volunteer Liaison Officer

Locations: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Imo, Rivers and Taraba
Employment Type: Full time

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with a team to Conduct skin camps in communities once monthly
  • Obtain good photographs of skin problems identified and send via WhatsApp
  • Complete recording and reporting documents accurately and timely.
  • Timely and accurate retirement of any disbursed funds
  • Report findings digitally using WhatsApp and CommCare App.
  • Conduct individual active case finding for skin NTDs 7 times monthly.
  • Collect samples and send same for processing.
  • Help in patient management including wound care and linkage to care
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the organization

Requirements
The candidates to be considered must:

  • Having a good degree/qualification from a tertiary institution will be an added advantage.
  • Be resident within any of the listed LGAs.
  • Know the locations (communities) very well and can speak the local language.
  • Able to read and write accurately.
  • Suitably qualified healthcare workers (Nurses, CHEWs, etc.), females and persons with disability are encouraged to apply.
  • Access to/ownership of a private bicycle or automobile could be an add advantage.
  • Must have a smartphone (usable for WhatsApp, and CommCare etc.) and be able to use it.
  • Have good coordination skills, understand teamwork and able to conduct community campaigns.
  • Be (preferably) young persons who are not formally employed.
