We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Welder and Fitter

Primary Responsibilities

• Lays Out, Fits, and Welds Fabricated, Cast, and Forged Components to Assemble Structural Forms, such as Machinery Frames, Tanks, Pressure Vessels, Furnace Shells, and Building and Bridge Parts, according to Blueprints and Knowledge of Welding and Metallurgy; Selects Equipment and Plans Layout, Assembly, and Welding, Applying Knowledge of Geometry, Physical Properties of Metal Machining Wield Shrinkage, and Welding Techniques.
• Read and Interpret Drawings
• Use of Straightedge, Combination Square, Callipers, and Ruler
• Dismantling, Straightening, Reshaping, and Reassembling Parts, using Cutting Torch, Straightening Press, and Hand tools, and be Designated Welder, Structural Repair
• Knowledge of Welder-Fitter, Arc; Welder Fitter, Gas.
• Use and Maintenance of Lathe Machine
• Mechanical Skills
• Machinist Skills
• Welds Components and Assemblies
• Use of Electric Gas, Arc, or other Welding Equipment

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an OND qualification
• A minimum of 3 - 5 years experience working as a Mechanical Pipe Fitter / Welder offshore or shipping
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to detect unsafe/hazardous conditions of equipment and work environment
• Willing to work offshore in 4 - 6 weeks rotation.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, proactively seeking guidance, team working, clarification, and feedback
