WIMBIZ under its WIMBIZ Capital Program (WIMCAP) in partnership with the Bankers Committee Nigeria is hosting a series of 1 day trainings for female entrepreneurs to position them to access funding for their businesses.
In August 2013, the Central Bank of Nigeria launched the 220 billion Naira MSMEs fund to provide the much needed capital for that sub-sector of the economy with the view of channeling long-term, low-interest funds through participating financial institutions. 60% of this fund is for female owned businesses.
Women are however not accessing this funding for several reasons which include but are not limited to the following:
1. Lack of information
2. Poor business structures
3. Lack of proper documentation
To provide direction and education on how to access this funding in addition to building the capacity of female business owners, WIMBIZ in collaboration has put together this workshop series
