We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Executive Secretary - Chamber of Commerce
Location: Nigeria
Job Purpose
To coordinate and represent the business membership organization for the
purpose of developing an organization network which adds value to
members businesses and presents a formidable forum for public advocacy.
- Promotes Trade & Investments and represents the interest of
the business community on matters relating Trade and Investments.
- Collates and disseminates information on business and trade,
especially regulations, tariffs and other matters affecting local and
foreign markets.
- Promotes and protects interest of Its members, relate with other
chambers of commerce and leverage the network of sister organizations.
- Sources and plans national and international trade fairs and forum for business development.
- Develops business directory of members in order to enhance marketing and networking within and outside the chamber.
- Organizes in-house & off-site trainings/workshops/seminars for members and non-members.
- Carries out consultancy services for members, especially on
development of business plan, feasibility study, market research and new
entrants into Nigeria and foreign markets.
- Provides management and technical leadership for the successful running of the chamber.
- Maintains regular consultations with government departments and
agencies on policies and measures affecting businesses and the economy.
- Makes representations to government on issues of interest to the business communities represented by the chamber,
- Liaises with embassies and other chambers of commerce (local
& international) to provide global service to its members,
individually and collectively.
- Promotes the collective and individual business interest of its
members and provides customized services to individual members whilst
ensuring harmony in the chamber despite competition in business.
Qualification/Experience
- A Minimum of First Degree in Economics or related discipline, Masters or Professional Qualification will be an advantage.
- Ideal candidate should be computer literate and have adequate knowledge of Nigerian business environment.
- A minimum of ten (10) years working experience in business development of large corporation or business membership organization.
Remuneration
- Our client is willing to pay above average market rate and enough to attract the best candidate for the job.
