Music Therapist Duties & Responsibilities

The role and function of a Music Therapist includes the following duties and responsibilities:

Assessing clients’ needs
Exploring a variety of musical styles and sounds with clients through singing, percussion, ethnic instruments and improvisation
Providing music therapy sessions.
Maintaining records and case notes
Planning and providing appropriate music sessions
Reporting progress to families/carers, relevant agencies or professional staff.
