Site Engineer Duties & Responsibilities

The role and function of a Site Engineer includes the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing technical advice; problem solving
  • Undertaking surveys
  • Ensuring site safety.
  • Ordering and negotiating the price of materials
  • Managing construction projects
  • Overseeing building work
  • Setting out sites and organising facilities
  • Supervising contracted staff
  • Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
  • Ensuring projects meet agreed specifications, budgets or timescales
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff
