The role and function of a Software Security Engineer includes the following duties and responsibilities:

Plan, develop, implement and maintain the overall company's software security strategy
Perform various software security testing techniques and methods
Review code in order to improve software security
Debug issues that when necessary
Suggest timely solutions to issues
Provide input on all levels of the architecture
Track and manage technical documentation
Work with performance and other teams
