Behaviour Analyst Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

The following common skills and qualifications are required of a Behaviour Analyst:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis, or similar.
  • Accreditation as a Behaviour Analyst or suitable equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Behaviour Analyst.
  • Excellent verbal and report writing skills.
  • Calm, empathic, and patient.
  • The ability to remain composed and adherent to best practices, even when under duress.
  • In-depth knowledge of and thorough adherence to applicable ethical codes.
  • Knowledge of appropriate referral procedures.
