Environmental Education Officer Duties & Responsibilities

The role and function of an Environmental Education Officer includes the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Organising school visits
  • Allocating funding
  • Producing educational resources
  • Liaising with schools, businesses, LEAs, voluntary/community groups and other local organisations
  • Preparing and distributing publicity materials and displays
  • Writing plans, reports and press releases
  • Analysing data and collating information
  • Attending conferences.
  • Managing budgets
  • Supervising and training staff/volunteers
  • Generating income via fundraising activities, submitting funding bids etc
