Job Description

• National Video And Censors Board (Nigeria)
• M-Net Africa Magic Programming Units
• Oracle
• Finance
• Content (movies & short format) Suppliers
• Multichoice
• National Broadcasting Commission (NBC)
• Broadcast Services
• On-Air department
• M-Net and MultiChoice Marketing departments, respectively
• M-Net analogue and DSTV subscriber base

• View programming content and compile well written synopsis for publicity
• Preparation of Monthly Highlights Document and distribute to distribution list
• Assign Age restriction to agreed standards and broadcasting censor board codes
• Write up Viewing reports and capture onto Synergy
• Compile EPG Report and distribute to agreed deadlines
• Compile TV Magazine Report and distribute to agreed deadlines
• Compile Marketing , Oracle, Website Reports and distribute to agreed deadlines
• Assist Africa Magic Channels with additional content viewing when requested by Channel Head
• Utilize research feedback and statistics to support scheduling formats
• Assist to identify undesirably content and support editing requirements
• Identify Audio Cuts with regard to undesirable language of content for transfers
• Filing Management of Synopsis, publicity material and follow up on outstanding publicity material with content suppliers
• Assist Schedule Planner with best optimal scheduling slots for content viewed

• Knowledge of the industry, M-Net Africa Magic channels & content Suppliers

• Knowledge and experience of AVID editing
• Understanding and monitoring of Audio channels and audio levels
• Black in burst tape preparation
• Waveform interpretation
• Colour bars, tone and audio sync
• Operating knowledge and experience of various VCR machines (DVcam, Betacam, IMX etc.)
• Understanding of different tape formats (Betacam SP, Betacam SX, HDCam, DVCam etc.)
• Understanding time codes and logs (Time code in and Time code out)

• A qualifying degree in editing or communication.
• Good Writing & Communications skills
• Sound understanding of programming content and scheduling systems (an advantage)

• Strategic Vision of Content of Competitors and Industry
• At least 3 years’ experience preferably in Television Environment & Regulatory environment (an advantage)
• Proven Track record
• A relevant degree in Business Management or similar
