Job Title: Associate Well Engineer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Well Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our projects in the oil and gas sector
  • The Associate Well Engineer will work closely with the well engineering team to ensure the successful planning, design, and execution of well operations.
  • The role requires technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and design of well operations, including drilling, completion, and workover activities.
  • Support the execution of well operations by coordinating with drilling contractors, service providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and provide recommendations for well design optimization and cost efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of well programs, including detailed drilling and completion procedures, equipment selection, and material specifications.
  • Monitor and analyze well performance, including production rates, pressure data, and fluid characteristics.
  • Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geoscientists to optimize well placement and reservoir drainage strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and environmental standards during well operations.
  • Identify and implement best practices and lessons learned to continuously improve well engineering processes and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date well engineering documentation, including well files, reports, and data analysis.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and technological innovations related to well engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
  • 2 - 5 years in drilling and well operations.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory and industry standards.
  • Prior experience in well engineering or related roles is an advantage.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Solid understanding of well engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant well engineering software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
