Job Description

We are looking for a talented blogger to generate engaging, original content for our website.
The blogger will research topics and develop interesting posts that will appeal to our target audience and promote the blog using social media, direct email, and other methods to alert and expand our readership.
You should be a skilled, tech-savvy writer who can create appealing, insightful posts that will reach and grow our audience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Write original and timely entertainment articles and news for Afrobeatsglobal.com.
Produce well-researched content for online publications across all our web platform and that of clients.
Prepare well-structured drafts for publication on Content Management Systems like Wordpress.
Develop compelling formats and styles for the various pages and social channels, ensuring content is always engaging and innovative.
Excellently proofread and edit blog posts before publication.
Share content to Social Media pages for engagement and traffic generation.
Identify customer’s needs and gaps in the company’s content and recommend new topics.
Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone) across our blogs and that of clients.
Excellently update website content as needed.
Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines.
Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and entertain.
Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of a website in search results.
Secure top-level contributors and source interviews, profiles, and features for exclusive content
Reach traffic and overall performance KPIs of Afrobeats Global and actively identify and implement strategies to increase reach and relevance.
Build relationships and strategic partnerships in the industry, such as with key sporting bodies, sporting agents, athletes, and other relevant stakeholders
Stay up to date of the latest trends and be aware of competitive activity in the market to ensure that the Afrobeats Global remains innovative

Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 1 - 3 years of experience.
Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio.
Impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in expressions.
Excellent communication skills.
Analytical and multitasking skills
Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously.
Strict adherence to the style guides of each company and their policies for publication.
Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary.
Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with stakeholders, colleagues, and management.
Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics.
Knowledge of online marketing channels.
Familiarity with Content Management Systems.
