Job Description

  • Briscoe Properties Limited (BPL) is a real estate development company, a subsidiary of R.T. Briscoe (Nigeria) Plc offering sales, management, and engineering services related to the property industry.
  • We seek to recruit an experienced Civil Engineer with project management skills to complete construction projects by planning, organizing, directing, and controlling activities; completing quality inspections; and supervising sub-contractors and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities in the plant and estates.
  • Plan maintenance jobs and scheduling.
  • Raise indents (orders) for critical spare parts.
  • Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance jobs.
  • Log daily job reports.
  • Ensure that all safety measures and procedures are strictly adhered to during job execution.
  • Coordinate jobs with other sections/departments for seamless operations and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly consumption reports.
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials to determine feasibility of given tasks (projects).
  • Provide technical advice regarding designs, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs.
  • Conduct studies of environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential impacts of projects.
  • Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities in plant and estate jobs/workmanship.

Requirements

  • Civil Engineering Degree is required.
  • Minimum of 5–6 years practical working experience on site.
  • Experience in infrastructure and building projects.
  • Expert experience in project management.
  • Proficiency in standard industry software.
  • Strong design and execution skills.
  • Licensed by recognized Engineering Regulatory Bodies in Nigeria such as COREN, NSE, or PMP.
