Job Title: Consumer Banking Officer / Payroll Lending Officer

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for a Consumer Banking & Payroll Lending Officer, located in Abuja.
• The Consumer Banking & Payroll Lending Officer will be responsible for loan origination, underwriting, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Drive acquisition of new customers for consumer banking and payroll lending products.
• Build and manage strong relationships with employers, payroll partners, and individual clients.
• Provide financial advisory and ensure excellent customer service delivery.
• Maintain compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare periodic reports on loan portfolio, customer acquisition, and performance.
• Evaluate and process loan applications in line with credit policies.
• Monitor loan performance, ensure timely repayments, and support recovery efforts.
• Cross-sell other retail banking products (savings, current accounts, digital channels).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 2–4 years’ experience in retail/consumer banking, payroll lending, or credit operations.
• Experience with Loan Origination and Underwriting processes
• Strong knowledge of loan products, credit analysis, and risk management.
• Proven track record in sales, business development, and customer relationship management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and core banking applications.
• Excellent Relationship manageement skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in an on-site role in Abuja
