xPlug Technologies Limited is an internet generation company based in Lagos (Nigeria) with major inclination in Software Development, Web Portal Technology and Application Development on Web, Mobile and Desktop platforms. Our core business model is hinged on Software as a Service (SaaS) , cutting across several business entities. We provide both customized and Off-shelf software to aid business operations and managements. We are currently recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Software Developer (.NET) Location: Lagos Core Responsibilities

  • Basically, Software designs, developments and analysis.
  • Work in teams to develop web applications, windows application, mobile applications, etc using tools like C#, ASP.Net, MVC, MS SQL, MYSQL, etc.
  • To research, learn and use technology including Open source solutions, online communities, etc.
  • To work with the development team on various web, windows and in some cases mobile application products.
Software Development;
  • Excellent programming skills in C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, MVC3+, JQuery, Javascript, J2ME - (Added advantage), etc.
  • Development Environments:
  • MS Visual Studio 2015, NetBean , Adobe Creative Suite, MySQL Workbench, Notepad++, PHPAdmin, pgAdmin III, etc.
Development Methodologies:
  • Agile Software Development, Waterfall Development Model, etc.
  • Interface Designs:
  • HTML 5, CSS 3, Fireworks, Photoshop, Flash, etc.
  • Must have taken part in the development of at least 3 standard and active software projects
Requirements Education:
  • B.SC / HND (Engineering / Physical Sciences only)
  • Minimum of 2-2 / Upper Credit
  • Degree / Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or Physical science is required as the basic entry requirement.
IT Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in core software development in a reputable firm
  • Database Management:
  • Proficient in database design and management using any of the following: Postgres SQL, MS SQL Server, MySQL, etc.
  • Must be vast and advanced in database modeling, performance tunning, database migration processes across various platforms
  • Excellent Database Programming Skills using T-SQL, PL- SQL, PG-SQL, etc.
    Job Title: Software Developer (Android) Location: Lagos Key Role
  • To assist the technology team in the design, development, programming, deployment and maintenance of software projects.
  • To work in teams to develop Native Android mobile applications using eclipse or android studio.
  • Develop, Implement, and Support software products and solutions that integrate with in-house and third party systems
  • To provide first level support for basic client ICT issues including desktop maintenance, troubleshooting on various IT service infrastructure management and basic software troubleshooting.
  • To research, learn and use technology including Open source solutions, online communities, etc.
  • To work with the development team on various mobile application products. And much more.
Key Requirements
  • 2+ years of programming experience in native android development with Java using Android studio or eclipse.
  • 2+ years' experience with Web API, JSON, and REST.
  • Experience with embedded databases like SQLite.
  • Experience working on Agile teams using Agile methodologies such as SCRUM
  • A strong passion for IT
  • Ability to learn new skills fast
  • Must be very “Tech-Savvy” and know a little bit about anything IT
  • Previous knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to provide technical input for designs, functional specifications, and other project requirements
Education and Experience
  • B.Sc / HND (Engineering / Physical Sciences only)
