Job Title: UI / UX Designer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

We are looking to hire a UI/UX designer with 3+ years of experience to work on fintech and edtech apps. This is a hybrid role in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

Collect and evaluate user requirements with the help of product managers and engineers.
Use storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to illustrate design concepts.
Make unique graphic designs.
Rough draughts should be prepared and presented to internal teams and key stakeholders.
Identify and resolve UX issues.
Make layout changes based on user feedback. Follow font, color, and image style guidelines.
Menus, tabs, and widgets are examples of graphic user interface elements.
Make page navigation buttons and search fields.
Create UI mockups and prototypes that clearly show how sites work and look.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design projects.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience working in agile development environments.
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or InVision.
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.

Skills:

Ability to design visually appealing interfaces, including layout, color, and typography.
Ability to build structural layout of products and creating interactive models to test user flow.
Observing and analyzing how users interact with a design to identify areas for improvement.
Crafting clear and concise text for user interfaces.
Understanding the fundamentals of how web and mobile applications are built.
Conducting interviews, surveys, and other methods to understand user needs and behaviors.
Ability to organize and structure content in a clear and logical way.
