Honda Manufacturing Nigeria Limited (HMN), founded in 1979, is a leading participant in Nigeria's power products sector and a division of Honda Motor Co., Japan. HMN manufactures and distributes a wide range of motorbikes, portable generators, water pumps, and general-purpose engines from its cutting-edge production facility at KM 6 on the Ota-Idiroko Road in Ota, Ogun State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Customer Service / Technical Supervisor (Engineer)

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a competent Customer Service/Technical Supervisor responsible for executing inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock holding and maximizes stock system with proper documentation responsible for working with procurement on, goods inwards and issues to ensure necessary functions are carried out correctly.
  • The desired candidate should possess hands on skill and proven experience in repairs of generator and other power products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and activities of the parts & after-sales stores (centralized).
  • Conduct physical counts to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing items at the stores.
  • Ensure incoming products are received and stored according to policies & procedures.
  • Maintain online inventory management software and ensure timely identification of triggers (or manually identify when minimum threshold levels have been reached) to initiate actions for stock replenishment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting problems, provide guidance on maintenance procedures, and offer advice on optimizing generator and other power products performance.
  • Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
  • Maintain approved HSE best practices in the stores.
  • Develop periodic reports of stores operations and performance as required.
  • Maintain electronic inventory management database.
  • Support the effective management of materials to ensure alignment of inventory levels with appropriate guidelines.
  • Maintain up to date records of materials inventory at the stores (existing stock, pending orders, etc.)
  • Provide information on current stock and orders to provide justification for re-ordering.
  • Monitor trends of product receipt and dispatch at the stores to provide basis for demand forecasting.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager.


  • HND / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical / Electronics.
  • Proven experience (3 years minimum) in a similar role, preferably in a motorcycle manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of Store & Inventory Management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide insights using Mircosoft Package
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across departments.
  • Proficiency in using ERP management systems. Experience with SAGE preferable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Completion of NYSC - Discharge or Exemption Certificate required.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining data integrity.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
