We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Document Controller

Location: Lagos / Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract
Functionally reports to: Senior Document Controller/Engineering and Operations Manager
Contract Type: 1 Year

Job Description

  • We are looking to engage a Document Controller who will prepare, manage, maintain transparent, update, file, and ensure easy traceability of documents related to the Company / Projects.
  • Distribute procedures and documents to contractors/subcontractor’s based on instruction
  • Maintain up-to-date electronic copy files of project documentation.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Responsible for Procurement department transmittals, filing, and registers
  • Monitor comments response time with regard to project documentation
  • Send reminders on overdue documentation and follow up for closure.
  • Control the receiving and distribution of all internal and external documents pertaining to the company/project to ensure they are made available under applicable revision to all parties involved based on the project distribution matrix.
  • Responsible for all document control activities for the company/projects.
  • Provide professional document control duties, applying diversified knowledge and experience of document control and filing practices to support projects.
  • Organize and maintain original and signed documents for the project.
  • Responsible for all Engineering filing and registers
  • Responsible for updating the Master Document Register and other registers
  • Maintain updated transmittal log, and monitor the transmittal schedule and status.
  • Report weekly updates on approved and pending documents internally & externally.
  • Transmit documentation through the internal EDMS and client EDMS system.
  • Receive, log, and track documents as received including all revisions.
  • Participate fully in the preparation and submission of the final Documentation/closeout report

Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc in Administration or any relevant discipline
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete work accurately and on time
  • Keen attention to detail.High sense of responsibility, accountability, and integrity
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) and networking skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Desktop publishing such as Microsoft office, EDMS(SharePoint), presentations, texts editing, calendar management, and document management.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role in Oil & Gas.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Team Player and problem-solving skills
  • People management skills
