Job Title: Execution Planning Advisor I

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking for an experienced Execution Planning Advisor I to lead and coordinate execution planning activities across multiple project stages, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with business objectives.

Role Overview

  • The Execution Planning Advisor I leads Front End Execution Planning (FEEP) activities and supports project teams from early project development through execution.
  • The role ensures execution feasibility by identifying risks early, coordinating cross-functional inputs, and driving mitigation plans at key project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead execution planning efforts across project phases, from Select and Define through Execute.
  • Coordinate and conduct audits of Contractors, Suppliers, and Project Teams, including leading PT audits and participating in Contractor audits as required.
  • Facilitate Front End Execution Planning (FEEP) workshops to identify execution risks and issues at key gate and checkpoint milestones.
  • Monitor execution readiness, project status, and emerging issues, providing execution support during the Execute stage.
  • Track progress, ensure quality of execution planning outputs, and provide clear stakeholder reporting.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, contributing to project reviews, risk assessments, economic evaluations, and governance processes.
  • Mentor engineers and support capability development for early-career and new hires.
  • Define execution planning deliverables, milestones, and work programs that support business cases, concept selection, and governance approvals.
  • Integrate execution strategies into project charters and ensure alignment across functional and project stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Proven experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Prior international assignment experience is an advantage
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally as required
  • Experience across a range of project management and execution roles
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing capital projects and experience across all phases of project execution
