Position Description

• Responsible for all design work carried out by the project consulting engineers with regard to the electrical reticulation network.
• This role both internal and external candidates. He is responsible for ensuring that all electrical Bills of Quantity comply with the company requirements.
• He will oversee all work related to electrical engineering and manage tenders and contracts under FIDIC, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management of all power related projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Directly responsible to the Technical services manager.
• Oversee and take ownership of the design process being undertaken by the contractor
• Review the tender process and ensure that professional due care is followed by the consultant
• Take ownership of the process for the procurement of materials with regard to compliance with technical specification
• Ensure that all contractual obligations are fulfilled within the terms and conditions of contract
• Establish a strict quality control.

Desired Qualifications / Preferred Competencies

• A Degree in Electrical Engineering; M.Sc is a plus
• 8 years of experience.
• Proven expertise as an electrical engineer
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational and communication skills Essential Personal Attributes
• Experienced in working with diverse workforce
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Hands-on experience using design and calculation software
• Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes
• Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards Problem-solving abilities
