Job Title: Environmental Health Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

• Environmental Health Officer works to prevent harm to people and the environment.
• They inspect businesses, homes, and public spaces to ensure they meet health and safety standards.
• They also provide advice, investigate complaints, and take action if rules are broken.

Responsibilities

• Monitor waste disposal, pollution levels, and hazardous materials to ensure they don't harm people or nature.
• Respond to public concerns, such as noise pollution, poor living conditions, or pest infestation. Provide guidance to businesses and the public about maintaining health and safety standards.
• Write reports and keep records of inspections, investigations, and actions taken.
• Help manage public health issues during emergencies, such as disease outbreaks or natural disasters.
• Identify potential risks to public health and recommend actions to reduce these risks.

Requirements

• A Degree in Biological science, Biotechnology, Nursing, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Public Health, Human Physiology and other related health field.
• A year experience is required in Environmental or Public Health.
