Job Title: HSE & Hygiene Executive

Location: Interchange, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanant
Seniority Level: Intermediate

Job Responsibilties

  • Dealing with Health & Safety issues in the factory.
  • Advising on Occupational Health & Safety Awareness.
  • Daily inspection of personal Safety equipment.
  • Daily inspection of Fire hydrant & Fire Extinguishers.
  • Identify & analyze Safety & Health hazard & shall develop corrective action for these hazards.
  • Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
  • Liaising with all regulatory agencies like OGWAMA, NAFDAC, SON, MINISTRY OF HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT, Local Government e.t.c for environmental rules and regulations compliance.
  • Trains and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.
  • Ensure all employees are acting in adherence with safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide regular reports to the Senior Management Team on relevant HSE activities.
  • Monitor and ensure contractors compliance with the company HSE policy.
  • Making sure that all necessary safety precautions are kept at all-time.
  • Perform other duties that may be requested by the P.M for staff members drills and training.
  • Ensure proper implementation of company HSE policy.
  • Enforce safety rules, regulations and procedures to achieve zero incident and injury free workplace.
  • Responsible for daily monitoring of cleaning and hygiene condition in and around the factory premises.
  • Coordinate with HR/Admin Dept. for safety training, HSE committee and toolbox meetings.
  • Ensure that all accidents are reported and recorded, in line with company policy and recommended improvements implemented.
  • Investigate causes of accidents and near-misses that occurred within the factory premises.
  • Conduct periodical inspection of the premise to ensure hazard-free environment.
  • Ensure that injury logs and reports are completed and submitted to related government agencies.
  • Brining to the attention of staff & Management, Occupational Health & Safety hazards associated with their work.
  • Assisting with promoting Occupational Health & Safety awareness.
  • Investing & reporting on all incidents & injuries.
  • Performs other related assignments/duties as required and assigned by the HOD.

Requirements

  • Qualification: HND, B.SC in relevant field with Safety certifications
  • Experience: More than five (5) Years’ experience in handling and Dealing with Health & Safety issues in the factory.

Job Specification:

  • You are required to prepare and submit in time monthly report in the defined format relating to your job function/activity.
  • Knowledge Safety legislation.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Must be willing to relocate.
  • Professional certification is safety management is a must
  • Must possess HSE I, II, III. and any other relevant certification
  • Must have undergone several trainings in safety management
  • Must be familiar with in-house trainings and drills for staff members within the factory.

Salary
N170,000 - N200,000 monthly. Gross (GLI, HMO, 13th Month, Leave Allowance).
