Job Title: Female Safety Officer

Location: Sango Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Risk assessment and mitigation:

Identifying potential hazards in the workplace, conducting risk assessments, and developing appropriate control measures to minimize risks.

Safety training and education:

Delivering safety training programs to employees at all levels, including new employee inductions, refresher courses, and specific job-related safety training.

Incident investigation:

Investigating workplace accidents and near misses to determine root causes, identify corrective actions, and prevent future occurrences.

Reporting and documentation:

Maintaining accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, inspections, training, and corrective actions.

Communication and collaboration:

Communicating safety concerns to management, employees, and relevant stakeholders, promoting open dialogue about safety issues.

Policy development:

Compliance monitoring:

Ensuring adherence to all applicable OHS regulations, company safety policies, and procedures.

Safety inspections and audits:

Conducting regular safety inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Emergency response:

Participating in emergency response teams and coordinating emergency procedures in case of accidents or incidents.

Required skills and qualifications
Technical knowledge:

Thorough understanding of OHS regulations, safety principles, hazard identification, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.

Communication skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey safety information and training to employees at all levels.

Leadership skills:

Ability to influence and motivate employees to prioritize safety and promote a culture of safety.

Analytical skills:

Ability to analyze data from incidents and inspections to identify trends and implement preventive measures.

Interpersonal skills:

Ability to build relationships with employees at all levels, work collaboratively with different departments, and address safety concerns effectively.
